I know I’m late to the game, but I think I’m finally gonna give homemade lavender lemonade a go for my next picnic. It just smells of summer.

Gorgeous photos! Did you use home grown lavender? Can you use any lavender? I have some in my garden but I’m not sure if I can use it…

Culinary lavender would be best, the dried kind you can find in spice sections at places such as Whole Foods. Home grown fresh lavender wouldn’t have the same concentrated lavender flavor, I think. Hope this helps

Thank you! It does help – I haven’t seen lavender around in our supermarkets, I’m going to have a look next time
Perhaps drying homegrown lavender also concentrates the flavour? All my lavender is dried now so I’ll be able to test that too

Yes! Homegrown dried ones work too (though I haven’t tried it myself)…lemme know how it turns out!
